Travis Peterson says:
Without question, one of the best books I have ever read, The Hiding Place should be required reading for any Christian. This gripping account of the life
of Corrie Ten Boom is full of stories of the great power and glory of God, experienced by those who were going through the darkest times of World War II.
One of my fears in picking up this book was that it, like other World War II memoirs of those who were brutalized by the Nazis, would be full of gruesome
tales and vivid descriptions. While the reader certainly understands that horrible things took place in the camps, Ten Boom and her coauthors simply do
not focus on using horrible events to shock their readers. Instead, in an amazingly Christlike way, Corrie and Betsy looked through the horror of the circumstances
to the ways in which God was with them.
Christians who read this book will learn more vividly some of the glorious truths of the Bible. Readers learn how to give thanks to God in all circumstances
as they watch Corrie learn to be thankful for fleas and an ant. Christians will learn of the power of God’s word to truly sustain those who rely on it
through hardships. Believers will learn of the great hope of heaven which allows us to walk through the hardships of this life. Christians will see self-sacrifice,
familial love, and even how to love their enemies in a way that is seldom taught in our world today.
If you are a believer who has not read this text, which looks a little like Little House on the Prairie meets World War II Germany, I cannot urge you strongly
enough to set aside a few hours and allow your heart to be touched by this gripping, true tale.
I’ll add for the sake of Christian “Audio that this particular recording is clearly and well-read. You will be pleased with the narrator.

“The Hiding Place” by Corrie Ten Boom is an absolute classic. This book, now brilliantly brought to life on audiobook by http://www.ChristianAudio.com, is a must-read for every Christian.
My family enjoyed listening to this together, and while some of the content, regarding the Nazi oppression during WWII and the unspeakably bad conditions in the concentration camps, is a bit mature for young children, I strongly recommend that parents use this book as a great tool for teaching history and faith to their children.
The faith of the Ten Boom family as they went through this struggle is absolutely awe inspiring.
Learn about their mission to rescue Jews from being exterminated as they joined an underground resistance movement and made a secret hiding place in their own home. This audiobook will have you on the edge of your seat, waiting for what happens next. Through it all you will be challenged to truly do great things for God in your own generation.

I remember reading and thoroughly enjoying this book well over 10 years ago, and I must say I wasn’t disappointed hearing it on audio. The narrator is excellent and makes it very easy to listen to.
It’s a wonderful biography of the Dutch Christian Ten Boom family as told by one of the daughters, Corrie Ten Boom. I had always thought it was only about the family during World War Two, but it starts when Corrie is a young schoolgirl and finishes after the War is over. Its full of delightful stories of the different characters in their lives before the War, and then of the situations they find themselves in during the occupation of the Netherlands.
At times its funny and at other times its very upsetting and poignant. You’ll certainly be gripped until the end, to find out what happens to the family.
