David katende says: Well, to me this is true Christianity. You REALLY need to be in step with the Spirit to understand else you will feel like somebody thinks you are not a Christian(a more likely case). You would rather save your time, don't download to listen than listen to make an opinion later. #

I am o.k. with people declaring the truth boldly, but this was too sterile or dry; only made it through about chptr 7. Did not agree with much of the interpretations on salvation and I see the author as not allowing for an experience of salvation and then the subsequent process growth, maturing, etc., that should naturally occur out of now having the Holy Spirit in us and encouraging us and drawing us closer to God. Very much resonated with the emphasis on counting the costs of discipleship and the need for persons to examine their lives for areas where they are more more reliant on the world to meet their needs then they are on understanding how God wants to help them have needs based on His character and His provision. I love that free materials are being provided on the web, and I was able to overall benefit from the sections I listened to. Somewhat like what Clyde wrote, the material spurred my exploration into specific Bible verses and other readings to better understand why I was verifying or challenging the interpretaions made. I am not able to recomend it very highly. #
