- Unfortunately, I didn't care much for... Review by Stanton Massey
Unfortunately, I didn't care much for this book and it was not what I anticipated. Reading the description, I was expecting a discussion on setting goals throughout a child's life...goals that may help your child stair step their way down a positive path. Perhaps I misunderstood the description.
The book focused on a singular goal line of the moment your child becomes an adult. McGlasson recommends having some sort of event or ceremony where you speak blessings and admiration upon your child and then officially declare them a Man/Woman. This experience should then give your child some much needed confidence and freedom to pursue their dreams. This is an interesting idea and one I may use with my children. McGlasson went into a lot of detail and shared several stories of these moments. However, I felt he glossed over how to know when your child is ready to be declared a Man/Woman and how to make a deep connection with your children.
