- A necessary listen for all thinking Christians
Totally great audiobook. The sign of a great thinker is how long his or her ideas last, or by contrast how quickly his or her ideas become superseded and irrelevant. Right until the final appendix in which he was dealing with the definition of faith (which is often contended by the new atheists in 2014) Schaeffer hits the mark. I highly recommend this audiobook.
What Schaeffer didn't see coming was the rapid and widespread adoption of the Internet and gay "marriage". He did hint at technology coming more to the fore but perhaps even Schaeffer could not envisage gay "marriage" happening to the extent it has. I'm sure if he was still with us he would be asking his question: "where were the Christian lawyers?" and other Christian thinkers also, who would stand up against such evil.
