The last command Jesus gave the church before he ascended to heaven was the Great Commission, the call for Christians to "make disciples of all the nations." But Christians have responded by making "Christians," not "disciples." This, according to scholar and renowned Christian thinker Dallas Willard, has been the church's Great Omission.

This book is just a collection of miscellaneous essays. As such it was somewhat repetitive and disconnected. Dallas Willard is excellent, but I'd recommend reading his other books (ex Renovation of the Heart) first, unless you want a disjointed collection of essays.
