Well worth listening to
As someone who heard the doctor on many occasions I can fully recommend this audio book. It gives a clear picture of his life and times although a bit repetitive in places. Its good to be reminded of how God used people in the past and causes us to pray for bold preachers who would give up this world's treasures for a better heavenly treasure

Great Quick Biography of a Godly Man
I really like this series of short biographies! The first chapter is a brief survey of Dr. Lloyd-Jones' life, while the remaining chapters explore his beliefs and how they impacted his life. Martyn Lloyd-Jones was a rising star in the field of medicine when he gave that career up to become a preacher. He believed pastors should take their calling seriously and deliver God's Word through expository sermons. His own preaching years spanned a time of social change (from the 20's to the 80's) and included a falling out with Billy Graham over altar calls. Lloyd-Jones loved church history and reformed theology and God used him greatly to point the church back to God, sound doctrine and scripture, and away from social reform and sermons full of personal anecdotes. I feel that Dr. Lloyd-Jones and I are about to become close friends as I am now ready to dive into a few of his works!

enjoyable- probably would not have read it, but listening while driving is perfect
Just finished listening to the book as I trek across on the country by car. I enjoyed the book. Rather sorry I didn't purchase a few of the others when they were on sale for under $5.00 a piece!
