- Great insight
It is so easy to find our value in accomplishments, or others opinions of us. But that isn't a true estimation of our worth. As Renee Swope shares in this book, our value, worth and identity are found in Jesus Christ.
When we look to other things or people we lose our confidence. And then the struggles of depression, anxiety, discontentment and bitterness can take root in our lives. Swope shares many of her life experiences as she herself traveled this journey to a confident heart.
She provides great wisdom and Biblical insight as she shares how one can truly have a confident heart.
There are questions and prayers at the end of each chapter, so that it could be used as a stand alone devotion book.

- Living In God's Promises
A Confident Heart by Renee Swope is a book aimed at getting people to overcome their self-doubt and trust God to fulfil his promises in your life. It contains personal examples from the author, scriptural examples and guidance for living in the security of God's promises.
The target audience of this book are women, so some of the content wasn't really applicable to me but as someone who struggles with self-doubt and trusting God to come through in my life, it was quite helpful. Also the examination of the story of the Samaritan women by the well was quite interesting as well.
This book was read by the author and she does quite a good job presenting her book with a reasonably smooth narration and with plenty of emotion and changes of tone at the right places.
This book would be great for anyone with self doubts or struggling with thoughts of fear about the future. It has some great advice and spiritual guidance to start trusting God and His promises.

- Valuable Journey...
Author Renee Swope's journey of moving from fulfilling the need for acceptance, approval and love on a human level to the spiritual. Coming to the realization that value, significance and recognition isn't determined by opinions or responses of others, accomplishments, roles, or possessions.
Unconditional, unfailing love is attributed to only One who has chosen and called each person to live in that relational reality. "Fear not, I am with you, I love you" - all promises of hope and comfort Ms Swope discovers in her scripture studies. Running from her past of rejection, regrets and depression, Ms Swope discovers answers and an example to follow in the story of the Samaritan woman.
Reflection and discussion Q+A interaction follows each chapter, end of chapter prayer, and scripture references included when quoted.
Audio quality provides for listening ease. Crisp and clear recording with a background free of distractions. Narrated by author of the work, the pacing is a bit rushed for comprehending the material covered and southern accent is noticeable. Expressive narration is intuitive to her own material.
