Great book, but a strange problem on my part
I love books by John Piper, and they've been some of the most influential books I've ever read. I love the fact that his books are so scriptural--they're full of scripture references. Unfortunately, this has revealed to me something that really bugs me about christian audio books. When there are a lot of references to scripture, like in Piper's books, the constant pausing of the stream of thought to mention the reference becomes really distracting for me. I don't notice that so much when I'm reading, but in an audiobook it becomes unbearable. I wonder if narrators would ever consider omitting these references, since it's unlikely that we can look them up anyway while listening. I'm sad that I was so bothered by this. Maybe it was just my frame of mind and I can get back to it again later.

A powerful apologetic of the Book
It's one of those books that has and continues to bear fruit after finishing it.

Excellent book
Excellent book as are all by Pastor John Piper. I do prefer a narrator that is more passionate in the genre of Pastor John (like Grover Gardner or David Cochran Heath-- who read my own "The Journey Home" book)
