great book, very encouraging
This book is like a biography/exposition of Genesis. It has really cool facts mixed in with explanation of Abraham using archeology and history to better explain the culture of the time etc. I found it very interesting and helped me understand Abraham and the time in which he lived better than ever before.
It really made Abraham come to life as whilst reading scripture it can be easy to miss minor insightful details. It also had much practical advice to learn from each chapter kind of summarizing how we can apply the lessons we can learn from Abraham to the modern day. But it did it in a very interesting way. I zoomed through this book I liked it so much.
The narrator seemed a bit monotonous at first but I quickly got used to him and found him rather relaxing.
I would highly recommend this audiobook. It really helped my walk with God whilst at the same time bringing to life the story with much insightful details from history etc. For example it explains the type of slavery Abraham engaged in, which was very insightful and helps you answer objections people may have regarding bible and slavery.
Anyways would recommend without hesitation to anyone even a non believer may find it interesting. I look forward to hearing more bible "biographies" by Chuck Swindoll!!!
