Should all Christians ‘kiss dating goodbye’? Is singleness the ‘purgatory’ on the way to marriage? In this lively exchange, Scott Croft, Joshua Harris, and Albert Mohler compare notes on countless aspects of singleness, dating, marriage, and courtship.
- Valuable, stimulating guidance on dating by Albert Mohler
Yet another EXCELLENT, thoughtful, well-articulated discussion with Albert Mohler: EVERY man in America needs to listen to this. Some choice quotes include: "If you're not interested in commitment, you shouldn't be pursuing intimacy," "You should not date unless you're ready to get married," and "We should not raise boys to be men; we should raise them to be husbands and fathers." Interestingly, and not surprisingly, Dr. Mohler believes that online dating is a waste of a time and a shallow platform for meeting other like-minded Christians, and given my own experience, I heartily agree, so that was affirming to hear. A must-listen if you're a father or a man, and also if you're a woman, so you don't have to learn the hard way and waste your time with stunted adolescent boys; set the bar high, and trust in God not to lower your standards. Nothing sentimental and no platitudes or empty advice here.
