Are you ready for real and radical transformation? God Is Enough! This message comes through loud and clear in the lives of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. While they failed time and again, God was faithful to convict, restore and bless them. And He is able to deal with our slipping and stumbling as well. Watchman Nee uses the lives of the patriarchs to show that God is able to turn our failure into success and our weakness into strength. He does this not so much by transforming the situation as by transforming us. But God s sufficiency in the face of our failure is seen only as we surrender to Him and are changed into His likeness.
- too spiritual and allegorical
I read this book when I was a new Christian in 1975 and thought it was great, taking it in as if it was the word of God itself.
Now re-reading it as an audio book, I find it is too distant from the Bible and too allegorical and overly spiritual without being down to earth.
There are some good points, such as that Abram when called was an idol worshiper and not particularly righteous like Noah or Enoch.
- Allow God to Change Me
This book helped me to see and think from a more Godly perspective and to recognize that I (my flesh) must die daily.
- Highly Recommended
All of Watchman Nees books are great. They should make a man think

Excellent. It helps to more fully appreciate Watchman Nee's teaching if you also read / listen to his life story "Against the Tide". You will see that his theology is not just theoretical but is fully practical, worked out in his own experience by inspiration of the Holy Spirit whilst also sometimes enduring the most horrific suffering in the Lord's service.
