Understanding and abiding in “the fear of the Lord,” is an essential kingdom concept, beneficial for both the believer and the unbeliever alike of hating evil, Proverbs 8:13, and then to flee from evil. It is not meant to be a scary thing or a hidden mystery, but is rather a concept for our own good, so we can then abide in the light as He is in the light, 1st John 1:7.
