Church history is important because it shows us how God's faithful dealings with His people in the Bible continue in the ongoing life and work of Christ in our world. If you have ever wished for a short book highlighting church history's most important events that will enlighten your mind and peak your interest, this is the one you've been waiting for. Three prolific church historians collaborate their efforts in Church History 101 to present you with a quick read of church history's high points.
- Good starter in church history
A helpful primer for lay people wanting to get started in church history. Gives basic milestones which could then be researched further if wished. More personal and 'listenable' than I expected.
- Concise Overview
A concise overview of church history that brings in touchstones and comparisons to our contemporary church culture when appropriate. Good for the novice.
- very good, wish it included more
I enjoyed it and appreciate informing me of pre-reformation church history.

- It meets perfectly it's goal.
I like it very much. It is a very good overview. I would also like another audio book like this one in a next level of detail.
- Well read, good information, short, a little too "preachy".
If found this book well-read and helpful. Overall worthwhile. The author says in the beginning that he cannot deal with the various events in depth. That is true, but I wish that he could have given a bit more of an understanding of the issues of the day. Instead, a good portion of the book seems to be making sure that we understand the western protestant orthodox viewpoint.
