Life isn't always easy for women today! In the shuffle of so many responsibilities, it's easy to lose focus on pursuing godliness in every task. That's why a woman must train herself to reflect on everything she encounters and determine whether or not it encourages holiness. Her character, relationships, ministry, even her soul--all need to be examined and ultimately surrendered to God before she can develop the godly character she so desperately wants. Through poignant stories and faithful reminders, Barbara Hughes encourages women to discipline every area so that God is most glorified and they are most unified with Him.

How to live as a godly woman.

It was great to be able to listen to this work.

This was a refreshing surprise & departure from similar works that dryly enumerate how to be a better woman. I found the narrator very lively and quick, not snoozy as some "teaching" audio's are. The author is very humble, yet optimistically encouraging to the listener. I felt no shame or guilt, only an eagerness to pursue more of what God wants for me. As a random person, I find concrete suggestions very helpful and the author does this throughout and especially in her exhortations at the end. I have a sense of hope & joy after reading this. My 21 yr old & 23 yr old daughters would benefit from this book also. I will re-listen again to parts or all of this. A great purchase.

Overall - Discipline is not something a person...
-
Discipline is not something a person would necessarily welcome, but this book makes it seem easy to cultivate. Many topics are discussed, grouped into five categories: soul, character, relationships, grace, and ministry. According to the author, the most effective discipline comes from a personal relationship with God. Narrator Tamara Kaye Adams enlivens the discussion with an informal conversational style. Her pace is fast, but this adds to, rather than detracts from, the narration as it propels the listener from one topic to another. An inspiration and a challenge, this is a fascinating perspective for those seeking to improve the quality and influence of their lives. N.L. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine
