"When most parenting books were written decades ago, they did not address-nor could they address-all of the issues parents would face today in the era of technology and excess. Parents do not need another article that contradicts the last one they read; rather, they need insights, techniques, and strategies to tackle the issues of twenty-first-century parenting. That's what the Understanding and Loving Your Child series of books will do. Understanding and Loving Your Child Who Smokes Pot will give parents methods they can use to connect with and support their children who use marijuana. "Women are often told by their communities that being a mother will complete or define them. But many women find themselves depleted and spiritually stagnant amid the everyday demands of being a mom. They long to experience a rich inner life but feel there is rarely enough time, energy, or stillness to connect with God in a meaningful way. This book takes the concept of rewilding and applies it to motherhood. Just as an environmentalist seeks to rewild land by returning it to its natural state, Shannon Evans invites women to rewild motherhood by reclaiming its essence through an expansive feminine spirituality. Drawn from the contemplative Catholic tradition and Evans's own parenting experience, Rewilding Motherhood helps women deepen their connection to God through practices inherent to the life they're living now. Topics include work-life balance, identity, solitude, patience, household work, and mission for the common good. Throughout, Evans encourages women to see motherhood as an opportunity to discover a vibrant feminine spirituality and a deeper knowledge of God and self."

In this hard-hitting book, world-class hunter, adventurer, and popular speaker Brent Henderson takes men on a journey to some of the most dangerous and deadly places on earth. Along the way, he helps each man discover that the most powerful force in the universe can be found in his spirit, where God resides. He shows men how to recover what's been lost by answering their biggest questions: Who am I really? Where does my value come from? and Am I enough? "Parents today are the first generation to raise kids in a digitally connected, porn-saturated world. Porn can be accessed in locker rooms, cafeterias, classrooms, and bedrooms-anywhere kids have access to digital devices. Worse yet, pornography that was once considered fringe has become increasingly mainstream. All this is misshaping children's understanding of sexuality, stunting their capacity to process emotions, and crippling their ability to form long-term relationships. In Treading Boldly through a Pornographic World, Daniel Weiss and Joshua Glaser offer practical and spiritual guidance for parents seeking to help their teens navigate this pornographic digital landscape. Combining the latest research with personal and professional experience to guide families into the goodness for which God created us all, the authors skillfully outline the steps necessary for parents to move beyond merely surviving pornography's challenges onto a rewarding path where their children can truly thrive."

These are the faces that call me “mom,” the three children who made me a mother. When I started my journey into parenthood I never thought it would look like this. I never planned on having three adopted children, and I certainly never imagined that two of them would have Down syndrome. But like most of the things God does, once we stepped into the craziness and confusion of the unknown and unplanned, we quickly realized that we were indeed among the lucky few. When my husband and I decided to grow our family ten years ago, we were surprised to find that getting pregnant was not as easy as we had thought it would be. And as we navigated the ups and downs of infertility, God led us down the path of adoption. Of course, we would adopt! Not what we had originally planned, but certainly a wonderful option. But just as we began to get a comfortable grasp on growing our family through adoption, God introduced us to Macyn Hope, a very sick little girl with Down syndrome who desperately needed a family. As we continued to follow God’s calling, first with Macyn, and later with Truly and then August, we found ourselves further and further from the comfortable paths we thought our lives would take, and instead moving down some very scary, and often painful roads. Even though at times His plan seemed terrifying and even downright foolish, little could we have known how much goodness, blessing, and joy would flow out of loving these three little people He’s put into our lives. No, it’s not been easy: not the open-heart surgeries or the challenges of raising two children with Down syndrome or the complexities of dealing with birth-families or the struggles we’ve had with the public education system. But through it all, every new and uncomfortable situation has only proven to be another chance to see how very good God’s plan is for our lives and how downright lucky we are to be able to live it out.   It’s only the lucky few that recognize that the most beautiful things in this life are often found in the differences. What some would see as misfortune, I’ve learned to see as nothing more than pure luck.

Raising kids and building families is tough these days. We live in a broken society that celebrates sin and minimizes family relationships. Is it possible for Christian parents in today’s society to raise emotionally healthy kids who love God and are equipped to do God’s will for their lives? Yes. Emphatically, yes. God has entrusted you, as a parent, to care for and raise your children for Him, and He has given you the resources you need for the job. Specifically, He has given you His Word to guide and His grace to enable. That doesn’t mean it will be easy or that it will happen on autopilot. It isn’t, and it won’t. The truths presented in these pages are not parenting hacks—tricks to have well-behaved kids. They are principles studied from God’s Word, tested in the laboratory of the author’s home, and applied to the challenging topics and multifaceted responsibilities today’s parents face. In these pages, discover what it means to invest in your children and how you can bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler help you understand and apply the gospel to common issues moms face so you can connect your Sunday morning faith to the Monday morning tantrum. Discover how closely the gospel connects with today's motherhood. Join Emily and Laura as they walk through the redemptive story and reveal how the gospel applies to your everyday life, bringing hope, freedom, and joy in every area of motherhood.
