Great content, but unnecessary
Given the line-up of speakers and topic of the 2011 DG National Conference, the contents of this book (and audio recording) are certainly worthwhile for any Christ-follower to consume. However, the concept here is flawed: All of these talks can be accessed directly at www.desiringgod.org FOR FREE and as spoken by the actual speakers. This is no slight against David Cochran Heath, but when I listen to a sermon by David Platt, I much rather listen to David Platt himself, than to another speaker, to hear his intonation, his emphasis, his passion. My expectation is that this audio-book would be flat and lifeless, as all these speakers' thoughts would be homogenized behind the same voice.
