The writer of the letter to the Hebrews said, "See to it that no one misses the grace of God." Over the centuries much ink has been spilled on the subject of grace. Yet perhaps nothing is as hard to explain as God's grace. It doesn't make sense. It's not fair. It can't possibly cover over what I've done. The best way--perhaps the only real way--to understand it is to experience it. But too often in our churches we're not getting grace across and grace is not experienced.
Bestselling author and pastor Kyle Idleman wants everyone to experience the grace of God. Through the powerful medium of story, Grace Is Greater leads readers past their hang-ups toward an understanding of grace that is bigger than our mistakes, our failures, our desire for revenge, and our seemingly impossible situations. No sin is so great, no bitterness so deep that God's grace cannot transform the heart and rewrite the story.
Perfect for individuals and also for small groups and church-wide studies, Grace Is Greater will help readers truly grasp God's grace, even if the Christians around them have failed to live it.

- A teaching on how important weakness is.
-
A book that is a must for everybody. I have found that I have learnt more in weakness than at any other time. This book has explained further some why people who by human reasoning should not be used for anything have been used so powerfully by God. It opens the door to every genuine but very imperfect Christian to be used by God.
Overall - You need grace
-
This book seems most aimed at convicting people who feel like they're "not as bad as" that person over there that you need grace and to give grace. My star rating (2 stars, "it was okay") is not because I disliked this book but because I've read books that did a much better job of explaining grace while extending grace. He made some good points and told some nice stories demonstrating grace. But he seems to feel that it's his job to point out where people don't measure up (judgment, not grace), even if it's implied rather than outright condemnation. So, basically, he's still in the process of understanding grace (like the rest of us), but I wasn't really learning anything from him.
Overall - Practical message with practical application. Well read (conversational style) which makes listening easy.

- I will recommend this book to any one who does not understand how to receive or give grace.

I really enjoyed this book and the personal examples made it realistic. I now have a deeper understanding of grace and it is presented in such a way that giving grace is do-able.

Great listen. Very nice to hear the author read his own book. I would be interested in checking out anything else this author has written.

Overall - Helping and Healing those in need of Grace

Fulled with incredible insight into a culture that has forgotten what Grace looks like. I found every chapter to drill down through the protective layers of self, allowing me to look at the core of what I believe about my own need for Grace and my need to dispense it lavishly.
Overall - This book has saved my life, my marriage and my relationship with the Lord.

I’ve read this book today and I can say with out a doubt that this book was the best one Ive ever read in my life! It touches on so much that we experience in our daily lives. What God’s word has to say about it and how Grace is so freeing for both injured parties in life’s ups and downs. It was a much needed reminder for me because I had been so blinded by hurt, pain, disappointment and had become hard hearted. Thankfully the Holy Spirit led me to this book! God’s Grace is sufficient me and my husband and everyone that has need of his Grace and Mercy and Forgiveness.
God is faithful.Overall - Good not great. Needs a 3.5 rating.

Good not great. Not overly deep theologically. Very interesting and would make a good reader. Grace winning in several areas of life is the impetus of the book. Let grace win over past sins and failure, let grace win over grudges. He doesn’t use the phrase “future grace” but the need to look for future grace in struggles and suffering is emphasized. Living out the thesis of the book is not only biblically mandated but much needed to today’s society and church culture.

Love this book! Well worth every penny...
Overall - Grace is so necessary.

I do agree with Kyle that we underestimates the need for grace in our lives. Kyle has a way about his writing that gently brings you to the point he is making. He than demonstrates how to apply it to your life. I've enjoyed all of his books.
