This book was incredible! After reading Girl Defined, I wasn't sure what more Kristen and Bethany would have to talk about. However, they totally blew me away again. From beginning to end, Love Defined is FULL OF SCRIPTURE! I can't stand picking up a "Christian" book only to find that everything inside is based on opinion, and there are just a few scriptures scattered throughout. Kristen and Bethany do include their opinions and personal stories, but they beautifully manage to tie everything back to the Word. It challenged some of my notions on dating, but it in a good way. And as an added bonus, there's an awesome section at the end with interviews from wives who've been happily married for decades-- it felt like talking to your mom or grandma. I would totally recommend for girls and women of any age, but especially Christian college students.

My favorite book of 2018!! If you liked girl Defined, you will absolutely LOVE this book! It took me a while to get into it, but once I started reading, I couldn’t put the book down! Such a great book to share with your friends and family!
Overall - A must-read book for every girl!
-
Love Defined was such a well-rounded, insightful book! It answers so many questions that single girls and those in relationships have about love and romance. I feel that this is a must-read for every girl!
In other reviews, some mention a chapter where the authors say that the method that they outline for lasting relationships is God's, when in fact it is their's. I do actually agree with that. I felt that it was great advice and I definitely agreed with it! I just think that they should not have called it God's method without more Scripture reference. Other than that, this book is great!
I received this book from the authors/publishers in return for my honest review.Overall - This book is great about getting to the heart of a Biblical Christ centered relationships and fantastic for ladies in any stage of life!
-
This book was simply amazing! I am a teen girl who entered into a relationship a few months ago trying to purposefully date and keep Christ in the center of our relationship. I heard about this book and knew I needed to read it. The content is so amazing, Kristin and Bethany truly searched God's word to bring forward relevant and purposeful information for the reader that can be applied in life every day. And in everyday I mean whatever stage of life you may be in from married to someone who is looking forward to dating in the future. And this book has shown me where my weaknesses are in my relationship so after pouring through this book and the Bible I was able to evaluate where I was at.
Overall - One of the best books on relationships I've ever read!!
-
As a Christian daughter, sister, and youth worker, this book gave me Biblical perspective on true Godly relationships. Following God's design for a life defined by the love He has will always be the best path. Also as a single young woman who has yet to be in a lasting relationship, this book has shown me patience for the ways I should wait on the Lord to bring me what I need in a man. Kristin and Bethany have done a phenomenal job defining Biblical relationships and what true love from God looks like. A must read for any Christian lady-whether in high school, college, or adulthood!
Overall - Every girl needs to read this!

Excellent and very informative! Every woman considering marriage should read/listen to this book. Kristen and Bethany did a fantastic job of explaining how to have Godly romance in a way the modern girl will be able to understand and relate to.

-
This book has been such a refreshment to my views on relationships and even singleness! Kristen and Bethany have poured so much love for truth into this, and Love Defined is just an overflow of all that God shows us in the Bible for how we should approach relationships. The audio book is super fun, as it brings the words to life since Kristen and Bethany took the time to narrate it themselves!
If you are struggling with singleness, or feel your romantic relationship is not falling into place, this is a must read!!Overall - Amazing book
-
Great audiobook! The authors are so transparent and open about their experiences and answers they found to their questions in God's word! The audiobook is amazing also because the authors recorded the chapters in their own voices! So, it is like a conversation with the authors. Would 10/10 recommend this audiobook and the book to follow along with.
Overall - Smartly Written Book on a Tricky Topic
-
Love Defined breaks down a very difficult, very tricky subject: relationships. Specifically, how we as Christian girls and ladies should deal with relationships and love.
Now let me break something down here. If you see “Christian”, “relationship”, and “book”, you’re probably skeptical. So I’m here to say that no, this book does not say “You cannot date”. It’s not one of those books.
Rather, Love Defined talks about in order to have a good and fulfilling relationship with anyone, we must place our relationship with God above all else.
It discusses patience, waiting for “the one”, dating with a purpose, dealing with singleness, preparing for marriage, and more.
I am truly enjoying this read. I’ve read multiple books and articles about Christian relationships and dating, love, and waiting. Often you read one and think that you’ve read them all. This book proves that wrong. I’m learning a lot from this book. I enjoy the work-it-out sections that help me focus on what I read.
Overall, I would recommend this book to any teen girl struggling with love, singleness, and the chaos of dating. This book really helps you think about the way you want to date… or maybe the way you don’t way to date!Overall - Get this book!
-
If you are a teenager and wondering what true love looks like, I highly recommend reading Love Defined by Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird. Full of practical advice and Biblical principles, this book suggests ways to honor God while dating. Also among the topics are strategies on how to thrive as a single girl and how to have meaningful friendships with guys. You won’t regret reading this book!
Overall - This was GREAT!
-
To stary off I STRONGLY DISLIKE READING...but I could and would read this 5 times over. Ive grown up in a christian home and never really struggled with not knowing Jesus and never realized how mang things I have not considered about relationships, but this book opened my eyes to things that I had never thought of before. Some topics in the book were things that I have heard all my life but hearing something more than once is always great, although there were some things that I read that I have not considered. It was great to have two perspectives in the book also (a single and a married woman) because I can relate with never having had a boyfriend (understandable because Im only 16) but also having a Godly married womans advice is great. I also enjoyed the fact that they were not afraid to talk about topics that people are normally scared to talk about. This was such an easy read and Id recommend it to just about anyone...as long as your are old enough and mature enough.
Overall - Amazing and Biblically sound, lots of great advice!
-
Love defined was honestly one of the greatest books I’ve ever read in my life. Getting to see love portrayed through two very different points of view, one from a married a woman who would been married for almost 7 years, and the other being show by a single woman who isn’t in a serious relationship, made such an amazing difference and put such a great perspective on gods design for love. My favorite chapters were C.14 (Romance Without Regrets) and C.17 (What Married Women Want You To Know). I’m always on the lookout for counsel from older women and so getting to learn from these for women, who I’ve never even met, was huge blessing for me. I took away several things from said chapters that will hugely influence my relationship with my boyfriend and will make a large difference in our future marriage. This book is suitable for women of any age and any walk of life, whether you were single, married, in a relationship, or it’s very complicated, I promise you you will take something away from this book that will stick with you for the rest of your life!
Overall - Encouraging, yet Challenging
-
What I love about this book is that it is so different from our culture and from our natural tendencies! It goes against the flow of thinking today and that’s because we have strayed so far from God’s Word. In each section the authors present a different way of thinking.
While it is written from Kirsten and Bethany’s unique perspective on life, there are Bible verses, timeless truths and pure wisdom in this book. It can and will help any girl who’s struggling to see clearly what true love really is. Personally, I thought I had a pretty good idea of how a relationship can honor God, but after reading this, I realized there’s a bigger picture to love than I thought! God IS Love, and through each of these chapters you will be encouraged to display godly love to those around you in EVERY stage of life!
Overall - A Biblical View of Relationships
-
Kristen and Bethany share a biblical approach to love and relationships in their new book, LOVE DEFINED.
I was so excited to read this book! I’ve been following these sisters and their ministry (Girl Defined) for a little while now, and I have been so encouraged by the fact that there are other like-minded Christian women who build their lives around the principles found in Scripture. From how to thrive in your single life to how to know if he’s “the one,” Kristen and Bethany discuss practical tips for every area of the relationship, things that they’ve learned through their own experiences and through studying God’s Word.
There were many times as I was reading this book that I thought, “I really wish I had read this when I was younger!” Several chapters really challenged me to think about my own views and opinions about the topics being covered.
I would highly recommend this book! I think every teen girl and young lady should be challenged to rethink the way society portrays love, dating, sex, and marriage.Overall - What our culture needs now!
-
This book is so awesome! As a Wife, Mom, and senior youth leader this is exactly what I needed to read. Im so excited to share this with all my single friends but, also my married friends! They go into great detail about how we need to use our season of dating to glorify God. Our culture is telling us every minute of everyday to do away with what the bible says because its old fashion and the world has changed. If we get back to God defined relationships we will see a difference in the world. I would definitly encourage every middle/high schooler to get this book and read and soak it in.
Overall - Wonderful Book!
-
Love Defined is an amazing book filled with truth and honesty about relationships and singleness. It challenged me and made me think deeper about my motives and how I’m spending my single years. Once you pick it up, you won’t want to stop reading. I am so thankful for Bethany and Kristen’s encouragement and advice in Love Defined. I can’t encourage you enough to read it!
Bethany and Kristen support their views with scripture and encourage young ladies to look to God’s design for love and romance. After all, He is the author of it. Whether you’re single or in a relationship, this book is for you! You will be challenged to reflect on your relationships. One whole part of the book is dedicated to single ladies. As a single girl, that part really challenged me to comsider what God has to say about love and romance. I was able to read and glean things that will help me navigate my future relationships.
Now, go get your copy! I pray it’ll bless you as it has blessed me.Overall - This is a must read!
-
This book is a MUST read for any woman looking to enter into dating, courtship, or marriage. It is full of relatable stories and applicable truths. I enjoyed it so much! Thank you Baird sisters for sharing your heart and Gods truths with us! I will be recommending it to everyone I know!

Love defined review
When I heard about love defined I was super excited to read it, because I knew this would be benifical to me, And it was. I love how Kristen and Bethany got to the heart of issues on love, sex and marriage, using Gods word to bring out truths. The book is separated into five parts
1. Part one introduces the falsety of mordeen day relationships and where we go wrong (Merry go round method).
2. Part two talk so about getting back to Gods design for true lasting love as well as discussing Love, marriage, sex, femininity, and a method for lasting relationships.
3. Part three discusses the single and mingling stage of our lives and how we can grow and find purpose in our singleness.
4. Part four focuses on questions many ladies have contacted them about and expressed interest in answers about these issues. My personal favorite chapter was how to just be friends with guys. It helped me to understand that yeah you can be friends with guys and you can do it in a God honoring way.
5. Finally part five is about experience and wisdom from women who have gone through dating and are now married. I have learned a lot from these chapters alone, on how to grow in Christ first before pursuing a relationship.
All in all, this is a great book to read alone or with a group of girls. It will strike great discussions and challenge the way you think about and pursue Loving Relationships. You will learn so much and hear personal stories from Kristen and Bethany that will serve as a personal lesson.Overall - Buy it now!

I honestly love The Girl Defined Ministry! When I I found out they We’re coming out with a book about love and relationships I got so excited! As soon as you startReading the book love to find you begin to see love in Christ centered love in a different wayYou begin to see how God Desires our love life to be. Something that really caught my attention in the book is that they said sometimes us as Christians we see God as the anti romance but he is actually the creator and what’s the very best for us! Overall I enjoyed the whole book and recommended it to every young lady to read, the audio book was also great!!
Overall - Great for a small group

This is a great book and would be great for a small group of girls to dive into.

Love Defined: Embracing God's Vision for Lasting Love and Satisfying Relationships. I’m so in love with this book. Since I am a nineteen year old single young lady, this book has given me a Biblical perspective on what a Godly relationships should look like. I’ve learned that I, as a single girl, should be using my single years to grow and glorify God. It’s also filled with so many awesome tips like, qualities to look for in a future husband, how to thrive as a single girl, how to be just friends with guys, and so much more.
The 18 chapters are broken up into five parts. Here are my favorite chapters in each of the five parts of the book.
In part one I love the chapter 1 Love You are oh so complicated :I loved it because it gives us a little bit of background into Kristen and Bethany’s past breakups and gives a introduction about what is going to be talked about later on in the book. Part 2 chapter 7 : Gods timeless method for lasting relationships shows us how to look at relationships in a Godly way .Part 3 chapter 9:Five strategies of thriving as a single girl teaches us about how we should be using are single years wisely, and that are single years are a blessing. In part 4 chapter 12 We learn the qualities to look for in a future husband. Which is so important. Finally , Part 5 Love story worth fighting for tells us that Godly relationships are worth waiting. Godly men are still out there, we just need to trust Gods plan for our future relationships.
In conclusion I also love how Kristen and Bethany switch off writing the chapters. This gives the perspective from both a single and married women view . I loved that at the end of each chapter it had questions and a place where you could write your answer. Having this made me think about the chapter I just read. I can't stress how much I really love this book. This book is a super easy read and I would definitely recommend it for teen girls and up. I honestly think if your single, in a relationship ,or even married, this book has something you could learn. It’s a must read for all girls out there looking for a book about relationships God's Way!!!Overall - Fantastic Book!
-
Love Defined is a must read for teenage girls and young women. This book talks about the truth of relationships and friendships. It also brings in the biblical elements that girls should look for in these relationships and friendships. Kristen and Bethany use their own struggles to relate to girls going through these struggles. I related a lot to this book and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
Overall - Perfect book for Christian women
-
I loved this book so much. Having just gotten out of a very toxic relationship, this book came at the perfect time. Love Defined gives some great insight into what God has in store for us and marriage. I highly recommend to anyone looking to get into a relationship or make changes to their current one.
Overall - Will Change how we as young women view Love!
-
Bethany and Kristen have such a personable writing style! The entire book was like sitting down and having a cup of coffee with a couple of your older sisters! This book I would recommend for every young woman to read....it will change how we as women view Love!
Overall - Truly taught me what God Defined Love is!
-
After reading Girl Defined, I got SO excited to read Love Defined when I heard they were writing it. Love Defined was everything I had expected and more. Every chapter was drawing me in with personal stories, practical tips, fun and thought provoking study guides at the end of every chapter, and the overall message being sent through this book.
I learned a lot about my own heart and intentions, opened my mind to accept God's truth, and then received it as a whole piece and prayed that I could use the tips, advice, and stories to shape how I view relationships.
There were so many bible verses in this one and I loved it. The cover was a cute design. The pages were easy to take notes on. And there's this cute page in the back of the book that you can take out and tape somewhere to remind you of God's truth! Also there is this amazing appendix section that was so beneficial to my own personal journey with love and sin.
I am so thankful for Kristen and Bethany, and every experience they have been through, good and bad. Because through those experiences, they were able to share their stories and help hundreds of young women understand what God Defined Love truly is.
I would recommend to women of any age! You can benefit if you are single, in a relationship, married, divorced, etc. Can't wait for their next book to come out. <3Overall - Life changing listen that every Christian woman needs to hear
-
Oh how I wish this book was around when I was a teen who was just getting into the dating scene. For starters, I absolutely love that Kristen and Bethany chose to narrate the book themselves. It really helps with the perspective as they get into past, personal experiences rather frequently within this book. Bethany and Kristen do a wonderful job of going through each phase of a relationship and offering lots of advice and wisdom. They offer a few things they’ve learned through their own experiences, things that others have learned through their experiences, and biblical truths to give a very well rounded view and perspective on love. I enjoyed that they didn’t only focus on the biblical way to approach a relationship but also offered insight into an unbiblical way to approach a relationship (I.E.: The merry-go-round method) so that we the listeners can see both sides. It is a very easy listen but offers a lot of insight that anyone can benefit from whether you’re 15 or 25. This book also features questions at the end of each chapter to help reflect on what you’ve just heard. This is great for personal reflection but would also be great to use in a book club/bible study setting if you’re looking to lead one. I would definitely recommend this to any woman who is single, dating, engaged, or looking to disciple someone in one of those phases of their life.
Overall - Biblical and ON POINT!
-
Oh my goodness, I hugely recommend this for those single, in courtship, engaged and even married! It totally opened my eyes to what Yahweh REALLY wants in a Yahweh-ordained relationship. It totally wrecked my view on singleness and courtship and what love REALLY SHOULD LOOK LIKE and helped me change the mistakes that I am currently doing as a single, Christian girl and better define and do things Yahweh's way. I, as a single, recommend this to every single, courting and engaged Christian girl. They are very Biblical based and SPOT ON in all that they shared.
Overall - AMAZING! Wish I had this sooner!
-
I wish I had this book in my teenage years. Kristen and Bethany are so honest and inspiring, I could not stop listening! I loved each chapter and can't wait to recommend this book to everybody I know. It's time to glorify God and break away from the world's definition of love!
Overall - So Much Truth!
-
This is the best book that I have read in a while. It’s not wishy-washy, feel-good advice; it is applicable truth straight from God’s Word. It’s also honest and raw. It feels like having a chat with your big sisters! I left this book feeling convicted about my own choices and attitudes and genuinely equipped to make a change in my life.
One thing that I questioned in the book is Kristen and Bethany’s view of the woman in submission to the man. I agree that this is a completely Biblical perspective, but their claim that men should be the initiators is more subjective. I asked the men in my life their thoughts on this, and they said it would be totally fine with them if a girl initiated a relationship. They said that men can be afraid to ask a girl out or text her first. So, even though I personally would not initiate a relationship, I believe that it is not wrong for a girl to do so. Scripture does not say, “women shall not initiate relationships.”
Another thing that Kristen and Bethany discuss is reigning in emotions because they have the power to blind us in relationships. I absolutely agree that emotions can blind us to painful truth; however, sometimes Kristen and Bethany put too little emphasis on emotions. After all, it is a romantic relationship, not a business relationship. There definitely needs to be a balance between wisdom and feelings.
Overall, this was an excellent book. My younger sister is now reading it, and I would recommend it to every girl or woman who wants to honor God in her love life.
Overall - The book every Christian girl needs to read before dating!
-
Love Defined is more than just a book, it's a resource and guide to help the girls of our generation navigate dating in a God-honoring way. With both perspectives of one being single and one already married, you'll get a full picture of the before and after impact of dating God's way. I recommend it to every girl in her dating years (or nearly approaching) and highly recommend every youth leader and young adults group to take their girls through "love defined by God." Practical advice, biblical wisdom, and real life struggles come together in a book that every Christian girl needs to read.
Overall - AMAZINGLY written book!
-
I love how practical this book is. I’ve read so many books on dating and this one is SO helpful in the practical sense. They have a unique perspective as one author is completely single and the other is married. SO worth the buy! Definitely check out their website - they have some great blogs and videos you’ll love! girldefined.com
Overall - Love it!!!
-
When I heard about this book I knew it'd be good, because I loved the authors (from there weekly vlogs, check them out on YouTube!). I was however, skeptical about how relevant it would be to myself personally. I grew up in a Christian home, seemingly safe from a lot of the temptations other single girls face. Well! Was I wrong! I was amazed as I read Love Defined by how much the cultures ideas had influenced my perception of romance! So safe and yet so deceived!
Love Defined is excellently written, it's like reading a novel! More importantly though it's ABSOLUTELY relevant to every girl, whether completely single, in a struggling relationship or a thriving Christian one! So many girls get so lost in the fairy tale, self-focused, romance, myself included! Kristin and Bethany lovingly point out our errors and guide us in the right direction. We are to be God-focused in everything, including romance! No matter if you've totally messed up or never been on a date, this book is for you! I cannot recommend it enough!!!!!!Overall - Such a huge difference maker!
-
This book was absolutely the most honest and biblically based book I have ever read on this topic! Once I picked it up I didn’t want to put it down. This is one resource that I wish I had when I was in middle school! Had I read this book back then, I would have set myself up for much more God-honoring and satisfying teenage years and young adulthood. I got married right after I turned twenty and while I was blessed with an amazing Jesus loving husband, I know I could have served him better earlier in our marriage if I had this foundation in mind earlier in my life. I strongly encourage women (in every stage of life) to read this book... whether you read it for yourself or so that you can pour into other women! I promise it’ll be worth it.
Overall - MUST READ for the girls in the 21st century!
-
I had the privilege of being on the book launch team for "Love Defined" and I am so glad I got to be a part of sharing this book and all that it has to teach us!
I absolutely LOVED this book! I am someone who thoroughly reads any book focused on how to approach God honoring relationships from a Biblical perspective, and this book was such a fabulous asset to reaffirming the beliefs I have in regards to relationships.
I love that the book is so conversational, and you feel like you are sitting down to coffee and talking with Kristen and Bethany. It is also super relatable because you get to hear real life stories and perspectives from a marriage view as well as a single view and it is so encouraging.
I especially love that the book takes you from the "before a relationship stage" to how to approach a relationship in a God honoring way, all the way into how to carry out God's design for love and intamacy all the way into marriage.
This book was great because it built upon what I already believed, taught me new Biblical perspectives as to the "WHY" we should approach relationships in a way that pleases God and how God designed love and marriage, as well as gave tips on applying those standards of relationships, and purity into my own life and future relationships.
The book made since, gave Biblical sources and verses to back up topics, and guides you in how to live out God's design for LOVE.
The back Appendix B is also super cool because they give you a list of Important Questions to Ask During a Relationship to make sure that both you and the guy are on the right track (which I think is so helpful and important).
Also, each chapter has study guide questions at the end to help you reflect back over what you have read and apply things to your own life.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book!!Overall - Love Defined is packed with wisdom
-

Overall - Great Read for All Christian Women !!
-
Practically a month after I finished reading Girl Defined by Kristen and Bethany, they announced the launch of this book! Being a fan of them for about two years now, and absolutely LOVING their first book, I figured why not give their second book a try?
Oh boy, am I glad I did!
Not only do these girls base every single piece of advice off of God's holy and good Word, but they also are super impactful and creative in the way they crafted and worded every chapter of this amazing read!
If you don't have wise older sisters to look up to, I cannot recommend this book to you enough! The insightful and relevant topics are relatable to pretty much every girl on this planet, and I couldn't get enough of it. I was so lucky to be a part of the launch team and I really would highly encourage every single Christian girl to read it! (If you're not single, that's fine, too! This advice they give is timeless and applies to every Christian woman that reads it.) One part of this novel really spoke to me and the situation I am currently in, which was absolutely amazing! This book was obviously a God-send and I cannot thank Him for inspiring Kristen and Bethany enough!
I would totally give this book a 10/10 if the stars would go that far. Def recommend buying this book, it's amazing. :))Overall - Great!
-
“Love Defined” is a must read! While some of the book I do disagree with, the majority really gets you thinking! This book will be a helpful tool for girls at every stage of life and relationships and reminds you to keep an open but careful eye. I especially love that the most important key take away from the pages are in bold in the margins. This really helps you to understand the important parts of the book. The study guides at the end of the chapter help you to reflect and review what you read. Overall this book is a great book and lets you explore God’s way of looking at love and singleness!
Overall - Every girl should read this book!
-
This book is so good! Covering topics sometimes avoided but extremely important. Kristen and Bethany give personal advice and tell personal stories. I don't know what else to say besides the fact that this is the best book I've read in a long time!
Overall - READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
-
This book is incredible! First of all, the front cover design is stunning! Very minimalistic, with a soothing color and no overpowering designs. That's a big bonus in my book (no pun intended). Now, as for the topics covered in the book, Kristen and Bethany did an amazing job at sharing truths about love and romance in an easy-to-understand way. They presented awesome analogies, metaphors, and funny stories that really helped the information to click in my brain. Additionally, the appendixes at the back, one on overcoming past sexual sin and the other on questions to ask at the beginning of a relationship, are both extremely helpful and important, especially in today's day and age.
Ten out of ten would recommend this book. It is high on my list of books that every Christian girl should read (along with their first book, Girl Defined).Overall - I would recommend this book
-
A must read for all girls!! It Has quickly become one of my favorite books on dating and relationships.
Overall - Love Defined by God
-
After reading Love Defined by Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird, honestly such an amazing book. This book goes in depth what it truly means to have a relationship of love under God. Both Kristen and Bethany go in depth talking about how they learn to put God first and the struggles that they had because they were putting efforts into their relationships. They truly answer so many questions that as single woman or married woman might have when it comes to their relationship.
I genuinely enjoy this book, and truly gave me the chance to reevaluate the way that I might react to any future relationships. I truly encourage more people to pick up this book and to learn about God’s great love above all.Overall - I love this book!

I was blessed to be a part of the launch team for “Love Defined”, and I was excited to receive a copy to read. I wish I had this book when I was younger and single. This book is mainly for single girls or girls who are in a relationship but not married. However, I was still able to apply the advice to my life as a wife and a mom. This book is the love and relationship advice we try to find from magazines or other people. My favorite part is Appendix A at the back of the book that talks about finding freedom and forgiveness from past sexual sin. This book also teaches you how to honor God with your love life and relationships.
Overall - Amazing!!!

Love Defined is the latest book from sisters Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird, the founders of GirlDefined Ministries. I think I first became familiar with GirlDefined through blog posts Bethany wrote for the Lies Young Women Believe blog. I really enjoyed her writing and decided to follow GirlDefined on all of their social media channels. Bethany and Kristen are faithful to teach young women about what womanhood looks like Biblically and I'm so thankful for their ministry.
In Love Defined, Kristen and Bethany walk young Christian ladies through what romantic relationships and marriage look like according to Scripture. The book opens with them sharing individual stories of how they've experienced the hurt that can come from relationships and how the romantic ideals portrayed in Hollywood often leave much to desire. The transparency with which they tell their stories is refreshing. They write from a place of experience which I found to be very empathetic as the reader. I find that often, authors of Christian books can appear to have mastered the subject which they write about but this is not the case with Kristen and Bethany.
Love Defined is a very wise and helpful resource because its principles are drawn from Scripture. The sisters point out multiple times that Christ ought to be the focus and foundation of every relationship and that the goal of romantic relationships and marriage is to point back to Him.
Love Defined is full of practical ideas for employing wisdom in the relationship process and even covers important topics including how to be just friends with guys. Amongst the books available on Christian romantic relationships, Love Defined stands out because Kristen and Bethany wisely point out that romantic relationships, despite what title you may assign them, are not a one size fits all kind of deal. I was really encouraged by their faithfulness to include this thought in the book because it seems to be so lacking in similar titles.
Love Defined includes study guides at the conclusion of each chapter so it is perfect to read individually or with a group. I really enjoyed Love Defined and I'm excited to see the impact it will have on the lives of the young ladies who read it!
My only regret about Love Defined is that it wasn't written sooner - I would have loved to read Love Defined during the time when I was in the "relationshipping" stage.
I received Love Defined compliments of Baker Books in exchange for my honest review.Overall
