Lion of Babylon

Product Review (submitted on July 10, 2014):
I listen to a lot of audiobooks in a wide range of genres. Some are "Christian" and many are not. First, the author begins to develop some of the characters and others are understandably cardboard cut outs, and then some character transformations I just couldn't buy in to. Second, as a thriller, I simply wasn't thrilled. The plot line was distracted by a lot of naval gazing and overtly mushy expressions of how heroic the main characters were and I spent a lot of time thinking the story should move along. The narrator was not bad. Probably 6 or 7 stars out of 10. Ultimately, the book ends at a happy place that just doesn't match what I believe to be true of the current world in which we live, kind of like Disneyland.
