- Apologetics 101

One of the absolute go-to books for studying apologetics. This book doesn't necessarily give you the fuel you need to defend the faith, it's more like it gives you the actual vehicle. Tactics will show you how to patiently defend the faith while speaking the truth in love.

Laid out perfectly, and gives Christians a lot to think about regarding how to engage non-believers and skeptics while also being thoughtful and fair.
Overall - Pivotal teaching on engaging in apologetic discussion.

The "how to" methodology for engaging in apologetics. I loved this book, it helped me understand how to engage others meaningfully, what questions to ask, what pitfalls to avoid, who has the burden of proof, how to recognise holes in arguments.
A pivotal book for me in developing more meaningful, challenging and hopefully life changing conversations with my students and beyond. This will be my go-to book when reflecting on old conversations and equipping myself for new ones.Overall - Show ALL Reviews
- Great for keeping professors and the person on the street on the defensive

Great resource for learning how to lead with questions. Jesus did the same. In a postmodern world, people will often dismiss our truth claims because they think the claims are subjective and personal. By using questions and helping people realize the weaknesses and contradictions of their own views, they are now open to hearing the truth. TACTICS is engaging, full of great personal stories of Greg interacting and using his tactics. I particularly love Greg's response to the lesbian supervisor at work. When she asks if you support homosexual rights, he responds: "That's very personal and I'm open to sharing, but I first need to know if this is a safe environment. Are you a tolerant person or are you intolerant person on issues like this?
Is it safe for me to give my opinion or are you going to judge my point of view? Do you respect diverse points of view or do you condemn others that differ from your own?" - I love that response because if they say yes and then you share, they will have a much harder time calling you intolerant. Also some great examples of student dialogue with college professors. By practicing TACTICS, I believe we can all be "Ready to give a defense to everyone who asks for the hope that is within you..." I was introduced to the apologetic work of Greg Koukl almost ten years ago. I remember when his book "Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions" (softcover, Kindle, Quotes) was released I could not wait to get my copy. I was still trying to get my footing on how to defend the Christian worldview, and this book provided a foundation for my approach that has lasted since then. Because it was so important and vital to my confidence in sharing the reasons for the hope that I have, I decided to bring it out again and do a review for those who are not yet aware of the value of this book for every Christian. Check out my full chapter-by-chapter review here:

If there is any need today to know how to interact with people from a different worldview, and there is, Tactics is the book to read. There are several "must reads" on my recommended list and this is surely one. Today there are so many different opinions about the big questions of life. Tactics helps to get to the heart of a person's worldview and belief system. It help you and the other person assess what that worldview is and also encourages you to share your faith. Excellent work here.
Overall - An essential book for every Christian's library, especially in audio form!

I remember how awesome I thought this book was when I first read it, but going through it again, after I've had many of my own encounters, I see so much more wisdom throughout its pages today because I have seen the tactics work. Greg Koukl provides invaluable information and relates it to real situations. His method really helps put the Christian at ease while in conversation. Keeping in control of not just the conversation but also our demeanor is vital to making our case persuasive. All Christians are commanded to tell people about the Gospel and give reasons for the hope that we have, but many times, it can be intimidating. If you've been praying for confidence in sharing your faith or are looking for new ways to do so to reach more people for the Kingdom, this book may be the answer your prayers. I highly recommend this book for every Christian to read. I also recommend that churches keep a copy or two in their libraries for their members. This book needs to be put in as many Christian hands as possible.
Overall - evangelists best friend!

This book has great useful practical information about how to share one's faith in a friendly compassionate non offensive way. I must say it has been incredibly powerful.
I have begun to use the tactics described in this book regularly and with strangers and the results have been great.
Already a couple of people have responded positively and began reading the bible and seriously considering Jesus because I was able to engage with them this way. I am unsure whether I would have had the confidence to bring up spiritual matters with complete strangers if it were not for this book.
This book doesn't have information but more is about techniques on how to share the faith, initially the concept seemed boring to me but I decided to give it a shot at the recommendation of J. Warner Wallace and I would highly recommend it.
The narration is clear and easy on the ears :)Overall - very helpful

Love Greg Koukl's idea to "put a stone in your shoe" - making people think while always being respectful. Love his ministry Stand to Reason.
