In The Justice Game by Christy Award-winning author Randy Singer, a brutal murder triggers a gun-rights debate with wide-ranging consequences. When a man guns down a pregnant reporter on live TV, her husband sues the manufacturer of the killer’s firearm. As opposing lawyers ignite the courtroom with their eloquence and theatrics, a shadowy cabal threatens the advocates and the justice they seek.
- Excellent plot, great twist, believable characters, tough subject
I loved the characters on both sides of this legal thriller. I found myself trying to figure out who to root for. Although this book centers on the gun control debate, and I am a gun owner advocate, Randy Singer made it hard to totally throw down on one side of this issue. He helped me to have a broader perspective. I did not change my stance on gun control nor will I change because of firm convictions about the 2nd amendment. But the strength of this book rests in it's likable characters and also the ones you want to dislike, but it does not end like I expected it to end. The characters that you dislike are not always the real bad guys. The twist at the end is what you want in a book of this genre. I always try to predict the ending, but I missed a few things in this book and for that I am grateful. I liked to be surprised by quality plots.
- Fantastic Legal Thriller
Excellent book! Couldn't put it down.
Originally read this book in 2011 but subsequently purchased the audiobook and just listed to that again over the last week or so. I don't give many books 5 stars, but I did originally, and even on a second hearing, I would again. This is a fantastic legal thriller centered around the gun control debate, HOLD ON, I know, I Know, political debate themes don't normally result in fantastic, really enjoyable, can't put it down books. Just trust me, this is a great book. Vivid but believable characters, drama, humor, action, suspense. Read it or listen to it. You will love it!
