Imprisoned by Herod, John the Baptist struggles to understand a Lord who did not meet his expectations--a dramatic account offering insight into the ways of God.
- An uncommon message with unavoidable impact.
It was another book by Gene Edwards! …So of course I had to snatch it up and dive in as soon as I was aware of it. Once again, Edwards leads us deeply into the scriptures through the door of unfolding drama. But after this one plays out, we find hard questions examined, paradigms re-evaluated, and the nature of God shown as worthy, while the nature of man is exposed in relation to Him. The dramas of Edwards don’t just leave one entertained, or provoked to thought, but realizing that some things in life might be seen differently afterward because of it.
- Unique perspective
The relatively short book packs a punch. It is the first I have seen that looks deeply into John the Baptist in the final hours of his life. Very thought provoking.
