Best-selling author T. Davis Bunn is a master at weaving moving tales that refresh the spirit and warm the heart. In The Quilt an elderly woman with arthritic hands is struck by the powerful feeling that something in her life remains undone. Deciding that her final task will be to make one last quilt, she proceeds to sew every stitch in a spirit of prayer and thankfulness to God. And as she proceeds, the impact of her endeavor is felt not only in her family, but in her community as well.
- A well-made audiobook added to enjoyment of this book
The story was very enjoyable, touching and with a clear, concise message: Be Thankful! I appreciated the narrator's skill in defining different characters by change of pitch and style of delivery, which enabled me to follow the storyline without confusion. It was helpful to have the two sections, each approximately 1 hour in length, so I could plan my listening easily. This book was recommended to me and I'm glad I chose the audiobook version as I think it probably added to my enjoyment.
- A true treasure ... Simple, yet profound
I enjoyed the "throw-back in time"...
The wisdom & compassion of a dying elderly Christian woman is a beautiful challenge to me as I see her impact on so many others
