The attack on marriage we are witnessing on every front in our society strikes at the heart of the character, the authority, and the redemptive plan of God. With courage, conviction, and compassion, Dr. Erwin Lutzer explains why this is such a critical battle and calls the church to fulfill its responsibility in this defining moment in history.

From the clamor of the evening news to the hush of a judge’s courtroom, there is a battle raging for marriage. The implications for society are profound. Yet many people of faith are confused, asking: Is it really that big a deal?

Erwin Lutzer, bestselling author, theologian and minister pulls no punches: The spread of same-sex marriage is a deep and dangerous threat and the church MUST act, in love and in truth. Lutzer sorts truth from spin and takes on some tough questions, such as:

  • How did we get to this point?
  • Why is marriage as God intended better- and healthier?
  • How can I talk to my kids about this?
  • How do we get our message out in the media?
  • Is there still time?

If you believe in the traditional view of marriage and are convinced it’s worth defending, then read this book!

Exceeded expectations
This book is much deeper than I expected. He depicts the opposing side fairly and advises Christians how we should speak up on this issue, and how not to speak up. The writing is full of love, godliness, mercy and much truth. The title does not do this book justice. I probably would not have read this book had I not heard Lutzer speak and already read The Church in Babylon..
The reader does an excellent job of letting the spirit of the author guide his voice. The book is easy to understand as an audiobook while driving. But there is so much deep and practical truth in this that I will buy the printed book and re-listen to it, while underlining and making notes from the printed copy.
