It fell short.
I took a chance on this book and felt early concerns over a couple of issues. The first was when the author referenced some characters from the health & wealth realm of Christianity whom I don't trust. The second was his use of the King James version of the Bible which, although a good translation, is definitely showing it's age. These worries were soothed by listening to this individual's message which I found quite consistent with scripture. The final straw that had me stop listening mid book was the complete lack of editing done in the production of the audiobook. The narrator occasionally stumbled over words, especially in the reading of Bible quotes, and would back up and re-read the last phrase or two. This became so common by half way through that I simply abandoned the book as being unlistenable. It's a shame as Jim Hurst did seem to have a valid message to share.
