Dutch Reformed Pastor Andrew Murray probes Scripture and the life of Christ in order to teach us how to pray effectually. He asks us to enroll in a new kind of academy. “Jesus has opened a school, in which He trains His redeemed ones, who specially desire it, to have power in prayer. Shall we not enter it with the petition, Lord! it is just this we need to be taught! O teach us to pray.” With the Redeemer as our headmaster, Murray gently instructs us on how to experience a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ through the means of prayer.
- Hard to listen to
This book was highly recommended. But it is hard to listen to while driving or walking the dog. I have a print copy and have started reading that now, and it is great. This audio would be great to listen to after you've read it, or while reading it, but not to listen to it before reading it.
- This is by far one of...
This is by far one of the best if not the best, teaching I have ever heard on prayer. It is done with such tenderness, that it lifts you up to the Presence of God as you are listening to it. I have the book, but wanted to listen as well. The narrator, Paul Eggington is wonderful to listen to. You can tell he is touched by what he is reading, which only stirs your hunger even more as you listen. I highly recommend this audio teaching series to anyone hungering for more of God, and for anyone who is looking to deepen their walk with Christ. I promise you that you will not be disappointed!
